Otterbacher food trailersIn 1971 Gary Otterbacher built his first game trailer piece by piece, hauling the unfinished trailer from spot to spot while working on his father’s carnival.  Back then, he saw the need for a well-built trailer that could stand the abuses of the road.  This single game trailer grew into Otterbacher Mfg. which set the standard for trailers in the carnival industry for more than 25 years.  Game, concession, and office trailers, as well as living quarters and ticket boxes were all custom made with steel and aluminum, never wood.

In 2001, Gary started Hi-Way Star Trailers, with the same philosophy of a durable, high-quality trailer.  Hi-Way Star trailers were made on an all steel frame with aluminum outer body.
